Vendor Information

The SoWa Vintage Market occurs YEAR ROUND INSIDE 450 Harrison Avenue; an antique brick warehouse with The SoWa Open Market artists, farmers and food trucks (in season) tented outside. SoWa Vintage Market remains open after the close of the outdoor season.

We make no guarantee for weather. In the case of cancelled markets (rare) or missed dates for any reason, there will be NO REFUNDS or CREDITS.

Looking for vendors with curated collections of antiques and vintage furnishings, jewelry, art, lighting, decor, fashion, accesories and other curiosities.

***PLEASE NOTE: We are a vintage market. We do not accept vendors in new, repro or import merchandise.

Vendors must bring everything they need to set-up and operate for the dates contracted. Tables available to rent $10 per Sunday.

Each Vendor must maintain a fresh display of new merchandise each week. Existing vendors are not guaranteed a space in the Market: management reserves the right to rotate in new vendors at management’s discretion.

Vendors are expected to be open and ready to sell from 10am-4pm Sunday. Pre-paid vendors may leave merchandise, at their own risk, week to week in our locked and secured building.

EXITING Vendors must remove all items from building by 6:00 PM Sunday. All vendors are expected to conclude their business by 4:20 so the building may be locked and secured no later than 4:30 for customer foot traffic. Vendors who do not comply with these terms may be asked to leave.

SoWa Vintage Market is a juried show. Management reserves the right to remove inappropriate merchandise from any show.

Vendors who do not rotate and maintain the quality of merchandise expected at SoWa Vintage Market will be asked to vacate at the end of the current day.

Vendor terms may be updated at the discretion of SoWa Vintage Market management.

By taking part in SoWa Vintage Market, each vendor agrees to comply with all terms and conditions of doing business at SoWa Vintage Market. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining their own original booth display (we do not accept vendors who copy other vendors), staying within assigned booth boundaries, marketing SoWa Vintage Market to their respective customers (via email or direct mail, and social media, etc), respecting the building we occupy (vendors must take care during move in and move out NOT to damage the building. Vendors also agree not to overload their space with excessive amounts of merchandise. Vendors are expected to respect other vendors, customers, and management. Any vendor may be asked to leave SoWa Vintage Market and vacate the building, at their own expense, for failing to comply with any terms of doing business at the Market.

Any vendor who violates any terms of SoWa Vintage Market will be asked to leave.

FAQ

Who Can Participate?
Designers and dealers of vintage, antique furnishings, art, collectibles, textiles, fashion jewelry, objects and accessories for home and wardrobe.
Is the market juried or "vetted"?
Yes.  All vendors must submit SoWa Vintage Market’s online application with 3 photos of their display/sample merchandise to be sold. Submissions will then be reviewed and applicants will be notified of their acceptance status within 1 week by email.  Please email your photos for consideration to: sowavintagemarket@gmail.com.
Can I set up only one day?
Yes. Day vendors must move out of their space at the end of the day Sunday by 6 pm.
What must I bring to sell at SoWa Vintage?
Please bring all supplies and display items for selling your merchandise. SoWa Vintage has a limited number of tables to rent at $10 per table per week. Tables must be returned at the end of the selling day unless rented for the following week.
If I stay consecutive weeks, can I leave my merchandise and is the building secure?
Yes. Vendors who have PAID for their space may leave items week to week. The building is locked and secured. The parking lot is privately owned. Parking during the week by permit is strictly enforced.
Can weekly, monthly or seasonal vendors set up/refresh other days other than Sunday?
Yes. The Market requires that each vendor change their display EACH WEEK. SoWa Vintage offers a set up time Sunday 8:30 am – 10 am + 4 pm – 5 pm.
Do I need any special permits to sell at the market?
Yes. Tax ID Numbers are REQUIRED in Massachusetts. All Exhibitors must be in compliance with State & Federal Tax Laws and display Tax ID Certificate in booth. This is required for both in state and out of state vendors. If you do not have a tax id certificate, you can obtain one online in a few minutes at no cost. How do I pay for my reserved space at SoWa Vintage Market?
We accept electronic payment (via PayPal use our email: sowavintagemarket@gmail.com) or you can mail a check made out to S & J Show Promotions, LLC and send to:

Is there vendor parking?
Vendors may find free street parking or park in designated SoWa lots for $5 per car(365 Albany St in winter, 500 Albany St in spring/summer/fall).
What happens in rain, snow, or unpassable weather?
The SoWa Vintage Market operates rain or shine protected from the elements. NO REFUNDS In the event that we have to cancel the market due to unforeseen circumstances or Acts of God including weather events, winter, spring, summer or fall).
Do I have to accept credit cards?
Credit cards are not required, but many vendors find accepting credit cards increases sales opportunities.
Is there an ATM nearby?
Yes. We have an ATM on site in the SoWa Vintage Building, Sundays only. MONEY removed end of day. Citizens, Mercantile and Citi Bank are located 2 blocks away on Washington Street and the Seven Eleven (also 3 blocks away on Washington Street) has an ATM.
Is there a place to purchase food and coffee nearby?
Mohr + McPherson Cafe in our building, The Bostonian Deli on Harrison, Pita on Albany St. Nearby Washington + Tremont Streets also offer Flour Bakery + 7-11 + Starbucks. Whole Foods Market is a new addition to the South End.
Are there bathrooms?
Yes. The studios at 450 Harrison (upstairs) have bathrooms on floors 2,3, 4. SoWa also offers porta-toilets at the Open Market while in season.
